Our cars and rental rates
Our fleet includes large, medium and small size late model Toyota sedans and hatch backs so there is a model that should suit your requirements. The rental rate is a cost per day which includes full comprehensive insurance and an allowance of 350 kilometres driving per day. See below for excess charges, administration charges if required and options to reduce the excess charges.

Excess kilometres
A charge of 20 cents per kilometre is added for every kilometre over the maximum of 350 klms allowed per day.
Renter liability
There is a standard vehicle accident damage and stolen vehicle liability excess of $2,500 on all vehicles.
Options to reduce renter liability
To reduce the excess liabilty for vehicle accident damage and stolen vehicles to $300 the following extra charges may be applied:
$15 / day for 1 – 6 days rental | $10 / day for 7 – 30 days rental | $5 / day for 30 days plus
Extra protection
To provide protection for damage to the windscreen, headlights and tyres a charge of $6 per day may be applied.
Administration charges
The following administration charges will apply to your vehicle rental:
$200 fee for all vehicle accidents and car theft if driver is at fault
$55 fee for all traffic infringements
$20 fee for all toll infringements
$3 per litre re-fuelling fee for vehicles returned short of a full tank of fuel
Extras
Baby seat $7.50 / day (maximum $52.50) | GPS navigation $10 / day (maximum $70.00)
Pickup and return to airport, hotel or motel — $10 / trip (organise when booking)

Great savings on car rental!
To compare our charges against three of the 'big' car rental companies we costed a 7 day rental of a Toyota Corolla with the options of a baby seat, GPS navigation and excess liability reduction. Rental from ACT Car Rentals provided savings ranging between $110.25 and $152.86.
Reduce your excess liability
While we wish it never happens our customers sometimes are involved in accidents and face paying $2,500 excess liability. If the vehicle is stolen the customer also has a liability excess of $2,500. To reduce this liability charge customers can elect to take out a liability reduction waiver. ACT Car Rentals offer a sliding scale of waiver charges so customers do not face high costs for a long term rental. This attractive offer allows customers to enjoy peace of mind while they travel.
Travel insurance
If you are visiting Canberra on holiday perhaps you have travel insurance. Some travel insurance covers liability excess charges. If you have insurance, check your policy as you may not need to take out extra cover.
